To address this, previously, Geniee has launched a powerful in-site search engine called “GENIEE SEARCH”. Yet, to further improve purchase and retention rates, a search experience that reflects users’ interests in real-time was essential.
To this end, our team developed a “Real-time personalization” feature. It leverages GENIEE SEARCH’s index database to carry out in-depth analyses of browsing history and click data within seconds to instantly optimize search results and recommendations.
As a result, this feature allows users to quickly and effortlessly find the products they want, which leads to higher purchase and retention rates for e-commerce sites. Additionally, it enables site operators to ensure a personalized shopping experience while reducing operational burden.

This feature continuously collects events such as page views, clicks, and other on-site interactions before analyzing them in real-time – down to the second. Then, it instantly leverages the resulting insights to update search results and recommendation engines. Therefore, Geniee’s tool makes sure that displayed content remains highly relevant to each user’s most recent activity.
Automatic feature tag generation engine
Keyword features extracted from product descriptions and customer reviews are analyzed to automatically generate relevant tags such as “#cool” or “#warm.” These context-aware tags are then stored directly in the GENIEE SEARCH index to enable precise filtering and personalization without the need for separate master data management.
Preference banner generation
Banners are automatically displayed based on user preferences inferred from on-site browsing behavior. They feature messages such as “Recommended for those who like casual style.” These banners are designed to encourage clicks, while the personalized messaging increases relevance and effectively captures user attention.
Instant personalization of search results
The system calculates the occurrence rate of user preferences, usage patterns, age groups, and feature tags before re-calculating search rankings accordingly. Factors with the highest occurrence rates are treated as fixed conditions, while those exceeding a defined frequency threshold are used as variable conditions.
This dynamic approach ensures that search results and recommendations are continuously optimized to match each user’s interests and behaviors.
